Xbox vs. Playstation 3

The battle between these two great companies have since been followed with eagerness by awaiting gaming enthusiasts of who exceeds the other; and they have not been disappointed with the companies releasing more innovative and groundbreaking technologies for high-tech gaming entertainment. 

Popularity of Playstation3 (PS3)

Today, comparisons have been made with Xbox vs. Playstation 3, and a lot has been established by fans of the devices.  First, Xbox vs. Playstation 3 when it comes to popularity has shown that Playstation 3 has created an outstanding build up and is seen to have loads going for it; on the other hand, Xbox has had virtually a year head start and has developed an impressive game line that has hooked a lot of gamers. 

However, game advantages does not entirely go to Xbox alone, as Sony already has an exciting Playstation 3 game line-up as well.  Additionally, even before Playstation 3’s release, it already won awards for several of its PS3 games at the Tokyo Game Show, and it is also able to run all games made for PS2.

In many of the reviews for Xbox vs. Playstation 3, showed that Playstation 3 has another “advantage” identified as “user created content”, which promises gamers the empowerment to add new features; the idea is quite appealing to those who enjoy mudding, and making new environments and levels for games.  Conversely, Microsoft naturally holds a lesser enthusiasm on user created content, and its Xbox carries a rather limited capability in that area, as most reviews have shown.

Xbox vs. Playstation on online services are quite diverse in style.  The Xbox has everything joined closely to its Microsoft territory through its medium of Xbox live.  Sony alternatively has taken a rather hands-off approach, which seems that gamers will have the option of choosing one of the many online services, and possibly play tournaments online via Playstation 3.

This battle definitely doesn’t stop there, there will be likely more to come in terms of sales and newer technologies to outdo the other.  Right now in the competition of Xbox vs. Playstation 3, the triumph is on the video game aficionados as they now have the opportunity to play two of the most advanced game console technologies ever created.
